A worn chain should be replaced before it begins to wear out other drivetrain components, making this tool an invaluable addition to your toolbox! This is a simple chain wear indicator that show when your chain has stretched beyond 1mm and requires replacing.

If your chain is worn by more than 1mm we recommend replacing the cassette and to check the condition of your jokey wheels. The chain and cassette wear at the same rate.

  • Made from precision, laser cut steel
  • Consider that if you replace a chain because of wear other vital drive-chain components may need to be renewed too
  • Compatible with 9,10,11 and 12 speed chains
How to use
  • Put the chain into the larger chainring. Place the tool onto the chain
  • If a chain is worn, the tool will drop into the link and sit flush along the chain. Or if it’s not worn, the tool will sit above the link.
